Default WOW!! Ford racing drops the price of GT500 TVS Blower kits!!!

Ford racing recently sent letters to dealers announcing the TVS 2.3 blower kit price reduction effective immediately..full kits (tuner, intake etc) used to retail for $4500++ now will sell for under $3300 Blower only kits will sell for under $3000 around 2800-2900!!! What a reduction.... So how many of ya will line up for the tvs kit now.
Too bad for some who are selling used TVs on other sites for HIGHER prices than brand new ones.... Wow

The reality of the old offer vs demand sank in I guess.
I'd love to take advantage of that but...

...I will have to drop a 5.4 in it first eh?

I believe hp with standard kit (no aftermarket tune or pulleys) is 625hp at crank compared to 500 at crank with stock setup..of course with smaller pulley and od pulley and aftermarket tune etc you are over 600 rwhp easily with a more efficient blower than the eaton... However I for one would still argue that Justins VMP TVS setup has shown better results just bolted on with most makin 630-660 rwhp and more with exhaust, tb and injector upgrades

I can tell you exactly why this is happening. Ford Racing is losing all of the TVS customers to Justin @ VMP. Justin's new TVS setup is blowing the doors off of FRPP's TVS kit, and it's only 3,499.00 versus Ford Racing's previous price of 4,500.00+

Amazing what a little competition will do!

No the actual reason for the price reduction has very little to do with competition and more to do w 2013 etc.. The tvs supercharger is going to be the new standard supercharger used on future models.. Ford made a deal w eaton to buy a bunch of units of the tvs and thus the huge price decrease.. It is speculated in many articles that the 2013 gt500 ( the last year of the agreement between Shelby and ford so far) will have a 5.4 bored to a 5.8 and the tvs on top...it's just a simple sign of things to come... Although as I stated in an earlier thread Justins tvs is still the better deal as you get a bolt on package of 630-660 rwhp ..

Can you imagine the deals on a used TVS OEM unit pulled from a 2013 GT500. That would be a nice, very affordable, upgrade for a 2007-2012 car.

+1....yeah but you know guys like you and I wont wait that long...
but the deals will be great....I just feel bad for those people who recently paid $3k (a deal at the time) for a used TVS with the price dropping as low as it did...also kind forces others to hang onto their TVS that might have considered selling due what they paid vs what they can get....
