Don't get your hopes up too high. Mine's been done since April 13th, so says the report and several people at Ford. But, no one can tell me why it hasn't shipped. Actually it shipped once, on April 15th but then was shown back at the Flat Rock plant on April 22 and re-released on May 3rd...still no Mustang. Makes me wonder if it fell off the car carrier or something. What I can't figure out is why no one can (or will) tell me the reason for the delay. On June 11th it will be 4 months since the order was placed. I'm talking to my dealer now about just ordering a 16...it might get here before the 15 I ordered in Feb. Hope you have better luck COMPORNG_15.

 

I have followed your posts and hope you get it rectified, not to sound conceited but I am hoping yours is an isolated case as most seem to be on schedule.




update online this morning is production was completed yesterday and awaiting shipment! estimated delivery is 20 June I would love to be surprised with it earlier haha.

 

Agreed. My Build is scheduled for the first of june according to the Window sticker. Delivery is supposed to happen on the 20th. I does sound like it might have been damaged in transit. Sucks to have to wait that long.

 

Curious, when did you actually place your order bluebeastsrt? I jumped on this forum to see if anyone else was having delivery issues, but it seems for the most part everyone's orders are rolling along...just my luck...I always get in the wrong line at the grocery store too. I'm going to stop by my dealership tomorrow night and see about ordering a 2016 instead...it might get here quicker. Hope everything goes smooth for you.

Same thing here about the 3.55 gears.
I got my VIN today (a big thank you to Deysha!) and no mention about the gears. I figure there's nothing to worry about, right?

 

if you ordered a 2.3 turbo they have a problem with them overheating on the underside and burning up, They are adding a new heat shield and insulation

 

LOL start worrying. My window sticker showed the 3.55 gears and the automatic transmission in optional equipment. Daysha I'll check back with you in a week or so. Gotta give them a little time to make some progress. Thanks.

 

I've got the 3.73s and a manual with the GT Performance pack, so those issues shouldn't be related to my build. Just got an email this morning from a "master" customer service manager at Ford, she said NO ETA is available at this time on my VIN. This is after she "reached out" to someone else for additional information. I'm going to the dealership tonight to talk about the feasibility of ordering the 16. My only issue is they changed the color of black slightly to Shadow Black, we looked at the new formula and mixed up a little. It has a flatter look to it with a hint of blue pearl, not sure what it looks like on a car yet. Maybe the dealership will have something with the new color. Good luck everybody.

 

Just talked to dealership, he said Ford told them it is a problem with the Ebony interior. Not sure what. Now I'm curious... Is anyone getting their orders with ebony interiors? Or, is this a tactic to make me not worry that the problem isn't of a more important nature?
