Default Keyhole behind rear seatback

I was poking around trying to figure out if there was a way to get the rear seatback in my convertible to easily come off. Since it does not fold down and I want to be able to carry skis. I found a keyhole on the drivers side near the bottom behind the seat cushion. What is that for? I did not see anything in the manual.

And while I am at it any ideas for skis?

On the 2013 convertible, and probably for the 2015, that is so you can lock the trunk button so that if someone pushed it the trunk won't open. There is a note in the 2013 manual so I'm sure that there is one in the 2015 manual as well.

And with the bulkhead behind the seats you will not be able to fold down the convertible seats and put skis in the car. The bulkhead prevents that. Get a trunk mounted ski rack.

OP refer to page 60 of the owners manual.

Thank you both. I tried the index in the manual I guess I was not looking up the correct terms. I will continue to work on the skis thing.
