Default Base gt with auto.

Hi guys I have a question to ever owns a base gt with the auto transmission. My question is with it not having the toggle switch like the premium model. When you put it in sport can you choose to use the paddle shifters or is the sport mode just for the paddle shifters? Sorry for the stupid question.

The car will shift itself in Sport. But as soon as you touch a. Paddle your in that gear til you either shift it yourself or hit redline. To get out of paddle shift mode. Just shift it back into drive. Once you do that you can select sport again.

In addition to this, sport mode will also change how it shifts if you don't touch the paddles, both as you are coasting to a stop and as you are accelerating. Kind of like leaving a stick shift in gear when coasting, except that it will downshift into each gear as you slow down, and it will also stay in a lower gear until you go higher in the rpm range than in normal mode during normal driving.

Same here! The auto for the S550 is amazing at stock... My 2013 was "meh" at best.

When I was a kid autos where slower! No it's the other way around! I just hope it will hold up under 670 HP! Took my grown son for a ride & all he could say was, "Impressive"!

I love my '15 GT auto. I am always in sport mode, so I can use my paddle shifters!

The only thing I don't like about Sports+ mode (non-manual shift sports-mode, the one you select via the track switch) is the aggressive down-shifting. It's annoying and makes it sound like I'm a kid with his first manual who doesn't know how to shift when approaching a red light.

Launching from a stop in Sports+ mode is pure heaven though.
