How to tell if its A Real Saleen & Whats It Worth??

Help us out man - what year is the car??
After decoding the VIN it appears to be a 2000 Coupe - is that correct. If so the last 3 digits of the VIN and the Saleen #114 check out. However the the VIN should start out as 1FAL, not 1FAF [&:] The L means ACTIVE RESTRAINT (air bags & active belts). Not sure what the descrepancy is there.
The paint code on the door should be UA for Black Clearcoat. It was build on 11/3/99 and the no owners were registered to this car. It has a Saleen Composit Hood, Saleen Leather Seats, Carbon Fiber Interior Accents, Saleen Floor Mats & Traction Control. No SuperCharger listed so I assume this car is still n/a?

I didn't pull the code from the registry, I just went by his word on it being black. In the main portion of the book at the end of each chapter is the specs for each year - that is where I found the paint code for 2000 Black. I guess I was just letting him know so he can look at the door label to verify it is still the original color

On the 99-up cars it isn't uncommon for the console plaque to be missing. Mine was missing in my 99 and Saleen knew about it. They sent me one a year later!
