Recommended oil?

Recommended oil?
Ok, I've had my car for almost two years now but I never really read the sticker on the underside of the hood that lists recommended oil. It recommends 5-50 synthetic after 500 mile break in. What? I've been running 5-20. I'm feeling like a bonehead.
Anybody else notice that? What are you running?

RE: Recommended oil?
I don't have an E car but the following is what I have for a 2006 SC:
Ford manual states 5W20
Ford fill cap is stamped 5W20
Saleen manual addendum states 5W30
Saleen sticker on hood states 5W30
Dealer put in 5W20 at 500 miles because I didn't explicitly state 5W30. Silly me thought all the stickers would match.

RE: Recommended oil?
How do you like the royal purple? How do you compare it to the mobil1 synthetic.
I use Royal Purple in all my cars. I have used Mobil in the past as well. If I could get AGIP I would use it again. As far as a comparison it is just personal preference. You can search on the internet and get lots of different expert opinions. I can't remeber if it was 5.0 or MM&FF that recently got 12 RWHP by switching to all Royal purple liquids. Also, I use purple ice in the rad and intercooler.

RE: Recommended oil?
Here's the deal. Saleen likes the 5-50 stuff in the E cars becaust of the lower compression, built motor. On your next oil change go to a synthetic 5 50 of your choice. (I always run mobil 1) You really don't need to call Saleen; just switch it on your next oil change.
