Is there something wrong with my Saleen supercharger?

Default Is there something wrong with my Saleen supercharger?

Wondering if anyone can shed some light on something. I've had my saleen SC on my 06 for a little over a week. I've noticed that my car has a little bit of oil smoke at startup out of the exhaust. I didn't think much of it, figured it's a PCV problem. Today I noticed my SC is making sometapping (like a steady clack clack clack) noises. Almost sounds like it's low on oil. When I received the kit, the plastic over the SC nose/pulley had an oil coating. At the time I figured it was just the way it was packaged.

Now that I put everything together (exhaust smoke, oil in package, noisy SC), I wonder if I'm leaking oil out of the SC, or maybe it's just low on oil. Is it normal for the SC to make noise, other than the whine it makes by nature? It didn't make that noise when I first installed it.

How do I check the oil on this thing?

Thanks for any help.

Checking the oil is kinda a pain. You will need to remove your intake tube, then remove the metal crossover coolant pipe that goves over the snorkel on the blower. Then you will be able to access the oil plug.

If you've got burnt oil coming out of your exhaust, its not from the SC's oil.
