Has anyone raced a GTO?
Hello,
I just joined this forum a minute ago. I own an LS1 350hp GTO, and I consider myself lucky to have a nice automobile. Not everyone does. I have much respect for all V8Mustangs,and a special love for the Saleens.I have two questions:
Has anyone raced a GTO on here? If so, what were the results? I've only seen 2 Saleen Mustangs in my area in the last several years. I've not seen one since I've owned the GTO (about a month). I've only pulled up next to V6 Mustangs, and no V8's.
My second question is what are your thoughts on the GTO's? Me, being a GTO owner, love seeing Mustangs. I'm wondering if that is the same both ways?I know on the GTO forumsthere is a good respect for the Cobras for sure, but I know there's an overall good opinion ofthe Stangs. Just curious as to howyou Mustang owners feel?

Actually, I raced at 365hp Corvette and beat it and I have driven my buddies STOCK '05 GTO and I feel there is no comparison. The GTO just feels much more sluggish and heavy out of the gate, but if its like the corvette it will do its share of catching up from 50-100mph.
BUT, if you do some simple bolt on mods like all Mustang owners do then of course that 6.0L goat can become a pretty impressive beast. However since you asked for opinions......and you have your suit on.....I don't like them. They look like family sedans, even too much like a hopped up Grand Am.
But like you mentioned, I think there is a mutual respect

I am unable to watch the vid. The sound is on, but a brown "cover" is over screen and is best described as a curtain. If I right-click on screen for settings, the menu is "behind" screen. I can "drag" menu out from under, but cannot find settings to remove "curtain".
Any others have this prob? I have had this happenonce before as well.
