Default JDM stage 3 for S281 SC

well ive been thinking about adding some more power, and am wondering what everyones opinion on the JDM stage 3 kit are, the price doesnt seem too bad at all for what you get, but what about the performance gain?, how noticeable is it?

Wait jk I'll be doing the stage 2. I don't think jdm makes a stage 3? I believe the stage 2 maxes out the stock 4.6 block without upgraded internals

Unclemilti... please comment on this as you have in the past...

I think it depends on the driver (and the fuel used).. but I will leave the answer to the pros...

I had the Saleen 475hp Kit and upgraded to the 3.4 pulley, 107.5 Gates belt, Saleen Extreme Intake, Vacuum Line Kit and JDM Tune. It was a drastic Seat of the pants differance. Easily a 50hp gain. I was able to break into the 11.9 sec range in the quarter mile which isn't bad considering my car weighed 4050 lbs (it's a convertible).

Well worth the $900 for the upgrade.

Good luck,

Al

I think the stage 3 is what gets you to 575RWHP-600RWHP.

If you are planning more than 10 psi I would recomend a forged rotating assembly. Otherwise 3.4 pulley is the most I would go. I know people that have done the 3.2 pulley on the stock bottom end but that is pushing your luck.

Also at anything above 450 rw.hp you will need either a boost a pump or a dual pump or you will be running lean on the top end.

Good luck,

Al
