hey guys, i need help. i am drivng the car around, (without the tuner installed yet) and im probably hitting the gas every chance i get, just to hear that wicked sound. all of a sudden i start getting like a loud clicking or ratcheting sound from the engine that quickens as the engine speeds up. i let it continue and the car soon dies. i try to start it up and i have to baby the gas pedal to get it to start back up. its running now. but the clicking sound isnt going away. is the car detonating or something? again, hipo 2.8 pulley xcharger , havent installed the tune yet(still in the mail) somebody please help, i really dont want my baby to die. thanks
STOP driving the mustang until your tunes and tuner arrive.Wow,are you trying to blow your engine already running around completely untuned stomping the gas like that too?I am sure the onboard pcm is going nuts trying to compensate on it's own as best it can.Seriously man, this is bad idea. Please park it,or i can guess what your next thread is///-just tryin to watch out for ya man-
u are likey listening to your engine detonating and preparing to explode. The blower is forcing tons more air into your system, and the computer is not set up adequately to add more (or enough) fuel. So you are running lean, which is DEATH for an engine with a power added. You may have already damaged your engine.

what could i have broken? i hope i didnt break anything. if so, im willing to fix it by upgrading.
I agree, sounds like the motor is broken. Not the fault of the Xcharger, you can't go driving a car with major engine mods without getting a tune on it. I can understand the excitement of the new toy and wanting to try it out, but you should have waited until you had the tune to work with the new equipment.
i can not even believe what i am reading. but like the others sounds like the motor is toast. pistons most likely are anchors now. what a shame but, i guess it had to happen eventually.
