I just picked up a 2015 GT. Mine is not a Performance pack, but I was wanting to add the Strut Tower Brace. Is the factory Ford GT Brace good, or would it be better to wait till an aftermarket one is available. The factory one is $250 on American Muscle.

 

Steeda has one for about the same price, would I be better going aftermarket?

 

If you want it to look OEM.... the answer is really up to you.

Alright, i know Steeda's for $75 Less says it's 15% Stiffer, blah, blah, blah. For me it doesn't really matter. If I get the Steeda one I'll eventually get a plate made that says GT,etc.

 

This is the STB that matters not that silly thing going over the engine. If your car was a PP it will have the long steel on in the picture if it doesn't have that it has the short plastic one. Put the long steel on on FIRST. Then buy the cosmetic one of course having it functional might not matter to you.

 

Mine already has the long steel one. I originally ordered Steeda's Strut Mount, but realized it wouldn't work because of the factory one you pictured above.
