HOLY CRAP A 1.3 60. That's hard to imagine the feeling. Congrats on the setup, sounds like very close already.
Except for the throttle lol. Did you start looking after you dropped .04 in your 60 ft but ET only dropped .02 ?
Very impressive runs for only half throttle though. I suppose your chomping on the bit to get back out there now lol. Keep us posted....
EDIT:. Almost exactly 5 year's to the date since you started this thread lol. And you stated you'd be happy with 13's. HA !!! Gotta love the gearhead life....

We were so concerned with the suspension. And having the car go straight. We didn't really pay attention to how fast it was going til the 3rd. pass. We were also concerned with the Vacuum pump. We were trying to dial in the vacuum at speed. So we weren't paying to much attention to trap speed. When we got on it and only came up with a 116 trap. We were like WTF and started digging in. We had a Serious vacuum leak at the valve cover filler neck. That came loose and we were sucking in a ton of air. So we still need to check the vacuum at speed next time out. And it would have been nice to make a full throttle pass after we found the throttle cable was way out of adjustment. But rain intervened. 13s would have been great on the old 5.0 back then. This car ran a 15.2@91 totally stock.
May 2nd 2017. Second test session. Thought we had the suspension worked out. Guess again. Car sixties 1.7 all night. The car would make a great bracket car right now. All 3 runs were 11.307@122. With a proper sixty we should be 10.3-10.5 on motor. Once we get the suspension dialed in. We're going to ad a 150 shot of nitrous and create a whole new set of problems. Oh well, work in progress. Here'sa few videos from last night.
Nice times, but I agree with okbfd, that 60 ft looks a bit off. The front end comes back down just as fast as it went up. I'm sure you've probably got it already figured out lol.
There's a lot going on with that launch. Not much is good. I think the next step is to dyno tune the car. Rule out that it's not losing power on launch. Maybe blowing thru the converter? Then it's just a matter of figuring out the suspension and tire pressure. I still feel like there is another .5 to .8 seconds left on the table. I have the MPH to do 10.3s-10.4s with a 1.4 sixty. I watched the launch video in slow motion and it looks like the tires might be spinning on the wheels. I need to mark them next time out and if they are spinning I'll have to install rim screws.
5/12/17 Took the car to Fonse performance in Sicklerville. Worked with Jr for about 5 hours tuning the car. It didn't put up big dyno numbers. But we did make a 50HP improvement over the baseline.
So after making sure the engine was running fine. If was off to Atco for more testing. I marked the slicks and the wheels. And they didn't move a centimeter all night. So I'm good there. On every launch the car still bogs. I made a few suspension adjustment. But the bog is still there. Frustrating. It's costing me an easy 4 tenths!
I'm starting to think it's fuel related. I'm betting the fuel is not getting to the Carb on launch. But i'm open to suggestions. I'll stay at it til it runs like it's supposed to. I'm going to hook the nitrous up and make a nitrous pass in a week or two. But it would be nice to get this bogging issue out of the way before we spray it.
Oh it is. But we're making progress. I think I have the bog figured out. When the car launches and the wheels start to come up. The fuel in the carb is getting splashed to the back. Some jet extensions and a different float should take care of this. I might throw in some bigger squirters while I have it apart. We've been cutting .3-.4 tenths off every test session. I think another .3-.4 off is right around the corner.
