6 disc radio help

Default 6 disc radio help

Hi. I bough a factory 6 disc radio for my car today from a 2004 mustang, well mine is an 03 and the plug ins for my radio are different i have the black square ports and this radio has the gray ports.
is there a way to make this work?

DO they both have THIS plug configuration?


If not, then no.

Yes ,the 2004 unit does but my car is a 2003 and has the square black plugd

Don't waste your time with the factory six disc changer. They are notorious for jamming cd's. I replaced mine with a Blaupunkt Unit from Crutchfield. Bought the wiring harness and installation kit with it. Call their tech support and they stayed on the line with me for 45 minutes to help me get the wiring harness put together correctly.

Yeah, I even opened mine up, pulled the motor, and that one gear, to reset
everything. Powered it back up, it cycled through the trays and got stuck
at the same spot.

POS! I am putting in an aftermarket unit...

The factory cd players are all the cheapest junk available. don't get me started...

I have been pretty fortunate with mine. It crapped itself about a month after I bought the car and had the unit replaced under warranty and that's been almost 12 years ago and it's still working like a charm.
