He only needs to remove the PCV hose that goes from the driver's side valve cover to the intake manifold, install a breather on the VC, and cap off the vacuum port on the intake manifold. The brakes and EGR aren't affected.
I've been running this set up successfully for the past four years. Another benefit is that the throttle body stays clean and doesn't get coated in oil.

Thanks guys, I think I’m gonna go with the Mobil 1 full synthetic with the cash can on the passenger side. I will update to let you guys know if it fixes the oil consumption.

Some people switch to a higher grade oil because the motor has more miles on it,
but that's not always a good idea.

I use Castrol Magnetec 5W30 Syn in the winter, and Castrol 0W40 in the summer. Sometimes
the Mobile 1 0W40 is cheaper.

If you are in a hotter climate, summer, 5W40 (non diesel formula) will also be
okay. Your engine is going to run hotter with the mods, so a something W40
in the summer is a better choice.

I see people using Rotella 15W40 in their engines in the summer, but it's a diesel motor
oil, and it's formulated differently. Some gas engines can run fine on it, and some
will not. These are not a good idea to run in the winter though, they're too thick
for winter.
Why would you use a 5w in winter and a 0w in summer? 0w would flow better in winter temps than 5w. Or, is it just your're more concerned with high temp protection during the summer so the 5W/0W really doesn't matter in this case.
