Ford is cutting back on their inventory, along with the obsolete bolt posted previously the motor company has decided to discontinue the main brace to frame bolts. A complete a hardware swap requires 8 of these bolts. 4 per brace 2 at each end of the brace, 8 total. These bolts are available from any top line auto parts store, my local NAPA stocks 8.8 grade 1.50mm metric thread bolts and washers. Use blue Loctite on the threads so you can remove them but won't loosen up on you. Also NAPA usually carries a 15mm 1.50 metric thread tap, to clean up any threads that may need help. The only fastener available from the motor company is the 13mm upright to body bolt.
This is a comparison of an OEM support brace & the new replacement braces available. Notice that the OEM brace has rusted beyond support capacity. This is typical of braces on 05-09 convertibles with low mileage. Due to the new tariffs on steel I must raise the cost of these braces to $450 per set, still includes shipping to USA.
