I'm sure the answer to my question is already here somewhere, just haven't determined where to look: I'm curious what the stock 4.6L in the 2006 GT has, SOHC or DOHC, 16, 24, or 32 valve cylinder heads, HP and torque ratings, etc.

It's SOHC, 3-valve/cylider, so 24 valves.

Yup, SOHC per cylinder bank and 3 valves/cylinder.
At eight cylinders that's 24 valves.
Factory ratings are 300hp @ 5750rpm and 320lbft @ 4500rpm.
Average chassis dyno numbers are about 270rwhp & 285rwtq. Factor in a 12% drivetrain loss and that translates into about 307hp & 324lbft, so the factory ratings were slightly pessimistic.
