hey, anyone who lives in/around phoenix metro area, where do you guys takes you cars when you want to go REALLY fast? i mean, ive hit 120 on numerous occasions on the 51, the 17, shea and 32 street but are there any good places, really straight roads out in the middle of the desert when you can just go nuts, top out your car and not have to worry about anyone being around? especially cops?

 

I live in Glendale .. In that area all i can think of is firebird raceway on I-10 south of Elliot. I know Saturdays they have drags there for $20 all night or something like that.

 

how long is the track? long enough to his 160?

 

i guess i-1o west is good after loop 101, but i dunno... it have hauled *** there before

 

take GRAND west...west...west....
you will pass Grand and Bell out in Surprise Arizona... just keep going west...
like your on your way to wickenburg arizona... and you will see.. ITS DEAD out there.
all desert... the DODGE/CHRYSLER TESTING GROUNDS/TRACKS are even out there.
also SPEEDWORLD RACEWAY is out there.
but you will see many ROADS out there with NO ONE on them and nice straight LONG roads...

I know of a road that is very challenging to drive. It's not a straight shot, so you can't do a top speed run. However, the twists and curves will blow your mind!!!! The scenery is spectacular!!!!! I am talking about highway 89A between Prescott Valley and Jerome AZ. If you Arizona guys and gals would like to coordinate a run up the mountain, let me know and lets see if we can work something out.[8D]
