A reman distributor for a 1985 Mustang w/ steel gear. Autozone or Napa will have one. Or you could step up to a Mallory or MSD with a steel gear.

85 and up. Thats why you need a dizzy from a 1985 because its the only year that had a roller cam AND was carb'd. This is the route most people take but I just went with a stand-alone Mallory HEI setup.

The box should have 2 sets of wires coming from it. One will have 2 wires and the other will have 4 wires. The one with 4 wires goes to the distributor.

Here is a pic. Just go into Napa/Autozone and tell them you need a distributor for a 1985 Mustang with a 5.0, manual tranny, and steel gear. You dont need a part number.
