I know folks run the p heads and differeing air paths from stock but they have an aftermarket computer and/or a tune of some sort, you could just 'go for it' and see if you run smooth then take steps until you are satisfied with the operation...

have you given thought to the mass airflow conversion? Here are some quick links

shouldn't have any problems at all... i would jsut crank up the FP a little bit...

a few people on her ran more "extreme" set ups with stock SD system and 19lbers

my combo in my sig will be done with stock SD computer and 21lb injectors

You shouldn't have to adjust fuel pressure. The stock 38psi at wot should be fine. My car with speed density I had a comp cam, gt40p heads, and tf intake and the car's a/f stayed between 12.4-14.4 on the dyno with absolutly no tuning except setting the timing.

I thought if you switched to the gt40 p you had to have the car tuned cause it wouldnt run right

The computer will never know what heads you have installed, you could install Cleveland heads on the Windsor SBF and as long as there's a good vacuum signal from a manifold port, the EEC will do it's job. IOW... GT40p heads installed correctly = no problems in a speed density setup.

I don't think you will have issues except on the larger airflow due to the 70mm t.b.
I say just do it and if you have problems switch to mass air and you'll be fine. Sd reads vac mass reads air so if you don't mess with vac pressure it should be good

The TB ID will not cause any problems, I installed an 80mm TB on a '86 SD setup with an AOD, and it worked better than I expected.
