Default Carb options

I recently bought a 90 GT with a 302 carb'd. I wanna replace it with a new one. Im new to the carb world and could use some helpful advice on which one to choose. The car is my daily driver and will see occasionly track time. Also what is the difference in manual and electric choke and which one performs the best. Thanks

Holley 4150 hp is an awesome carb. (expensive new, buy it used) I personally dont care about the choke, so I would get one without, but I know many people arent like me there. If I had to pick one I would get a manual choke, but its just personal preference really. Also, if you dont have gears and a manual transmission I wouldnt suggest a mechanical secondary.

ok cool, thats the same as me then. I am looking at a 600. You will be able to easily get away with a 650, but 600 is more appropriate for fuel econ and mid range torque (its also going to be very strong up top).

600 cfm vac secondary Holley. Here is an idea. Summit's new 600 cfm carb. It's really a Holley 4010 model. Holley discontiued this carb about 15 years ago due to poor sales. It's an excellant performing carb and these are even better than the originals. Come with the fuel line as well. Can't beat it of 249 dollars. Parts are still available through Holley. Electric choke as well for that money. It's really a great carb and still built by Holley with a Summit logo
