My 88 mustang gt runs great when driving normal, but if i step on it i have a dead spot and it hesitates in 1st gear bad and lessons through the shifting of gears, plugs are burning good, wires, dist. cap look good and put new fuel filter on. Any ideas? Thanks.

could have a vac leak, could have sensor issues...run a koeo/koer and check for codes....where in MD are you??

Hey is this Mike from carriage auto? THis is Jim you worked on my car did gear change in rear and trans, swap, I tried to call you on my problem but didnt get an answer, I fixed it, I was checking hoses and other things and went to start up, today and wouldnt start, I guess that was a good thing because i had xtra ignition Mod. and put in and it is running great now. I guess it was going bad. thanks for your input.

lol, sorry I missed your reply Jim......you can call me anytime m-f 7:30-5........but like I said, use a oem motorcraft module, call the dealer with your vin so they get you the right one
