Default difference between springs...

Ive narrowed it down to the eibach sport lines, h&r race springs or the h&r super sports (leaning more toward the h&rs). How much different are the springs? From what I read and understand the sportlines drop to about 2 inches all around. the h&r race drop the front almost 2 and the rear about 1 and the super sports drop a little over 1.5 all around. Are the h&r race springs the stiffest? I like the stance i would get with the h&r race springs but im afraid they may be too stiff. Is there any way I could get that same stance with the super sports? I am interested in performace too. is there a really big difference in performance between the race and super sports? I really want this car to handle and am willing to sacrifice a little comfort. The struts i am thinking of going with are the tokico hp's. Will these work well with each spring above? how long do struts last on the average for a lowered car? thanks

Default RE: difference between springs...

The springs are very different from eachother. They're like apples & oranges.

Here are the spring rates of each:

H&R Race: 750-850lb/in front, 260-280lb/in rear
H&R Super Sport: 700-760lb/in front, 275-300lb/in rear
Eibach Sportline: 425-630lb/in front, 140-395lb/in rear

The Tokico HP's will work with all the springs above. The H&R Race obviously providing the stiffest/sportiest ride.

If you want a good compromise, go with the H&R Super Sports... if you want the lowest drop, go with the Eibach Sportlines.

Sincerely,
