Yep, still have street tires...I warm them up until I see lot's of smoke though...I know it's killing my tread, but it's getting mekiller 60' times! All I have so far is a loud exhaust and a Mac intake. I have 4.10 gears on the way along with a Computer tuner for some extra hp's... I'll let you know how I'm running when that's installed, but I'm assuming traction is going to be a problem.</P>


It was some guy about my age (I'm 22) in that car. I'm actually at the track every friday and I've never seen him before...I'd know cause he's actually the only RX-8 I've ever seen at the track...ever. I looked at fast-autos.net and they're claiming it will run a 14.5...so yes, he's probably a rookie (no offense if you read this, I was one as well). </P>

Do the RX-8 have factory turbo? Doms off Fast and Furious was a RX-7 right?

3rd gen RX-7 had 255hp and factory twin turbos. RX-8 has no turbos and ~230hp. Color me unimpressed. I hear that they're thinking of bringing back a sports car though, so maybe they'll give it a turbo.
