just a kid at school made a passing comment about racing. i dont think he has done anything serious to is car, but he probably has more experience, and both cars are manual. all i have is duals, lowering springs and some suspension stuff... nothing to add any real power.

You've got the sixer? He'll take you, especially if he has more experience. Get some practice powershifting in and you may be able to keep even with him if he is bad at shifting.

It won't be that big a blowout..........I saw this matchup a few weeks ago. I know the 99-00 GT was manual but I'm not sure what the 05-06 V6 was. From what the ppl who knew the two guys said they were both stock except for exhaust (both). The GT did win......but it wasn't a blowout. No buslengths for sure. Maybe 3 or 4 carlengths.


Of course, thats assuming the "stock" thing was true.

 

you guys do know that the 05-06s run low 15s in the quarter, not that bad, and if you put some bolt ons on you should be able to run if not take him. some suspention stuff may make you hook up better, and if your really good i would say you could hit 15 flat, he gets a bad launch or screws up a little bit you can take it.

 

a 99-04 GT is a second to a second and a half faster than a 05 v6. i dont know why people think that the new v6s can beat the 99-04 GT's. more of that, "my car is newer so im faster" type of logic. sorry but ull get beat pretty badly, even if he has an auto or manual

(btw that wasnt directed at you matt, but there are a lotta kids who think the new v6s can beat any older mustang and its really gay)
