Sad to say i lost to a stock 1985 corvette. i drove my stock 1994 gt and me and my friend found a rarely used road and we raced from a stop, he had me off the line and never let me get next to him. hes also got an 03 zo6, not even thinking about messing with that one

 

Is he modded? Do you have an auto or manual? After the race, was it like thumbs up, or you getting pissed?(not saying you did, I just want some details! Nice death, BTW.

 

Both manual, corvette 4spd, mustang 5spd. both were stock at the time. we are actually good friends, so we both had laughs at the end. But you win some you lose some lol

 

I dont think it would take too much modding for you to dust that vette, those 80's vettes arnt that special

Sorry man. Those vettes are pretty beatable.. Much more so then the LT1's they started putting in them in the early 90's.

 

Could be worse. It could have been an '84 with crossfire injection. That would be embarassing. :P

You could easily surpass an '85 with a few mods though.

 

I thought that year Vette only came in auto. And it has 230hp and 330lbs/tq. I can see him beating you if the cars in good shape.

 

Nope, you could get a 4 speed.

 

I didnt know that, I was just trying to look it up on autotrader and under standard specs was a 4spd auto and under options they didnt have a manual.
