my first race!!!
well me and my buddy were heading to autozone why i dono, and we stopped at a 2 lane red light so i figured hed pull up next to me (hes got a 90 5.0, with plenty of mods 373s,intake,headers,h pipe,cam, i dono tons of mods). wich he did and then i figured hed wanna race cuz he always does. so anyawys the light turns green and we both stomp it he actaully gets a very good launch cuz that kid can never ever get traction but he did! and we wenty off we were even and i just staretd pullin a lil more and a lil more and i won! and his lane merged over in tomine so he had to slame on the brakes! but the only thing about his car is he has this loud ticking noise goin on, we both dont no wat it is but hes gonna rebuild his motor this week. and this kids car as fast as hellllllllllllz. but with the ticking im sure that reduced performance some where along the way, but his car still insanely fast with the ticK! i mean my god he puts it in first and slams the gas he just sits there and roasts his tires off, shift in the second the car back end swings out still raostin, then he finally catches traction in third! (with the tick) but ya, i no his car defently aint as fast as it is sposed to be but, im defently proud of my car, specially cuz my car is bone stock, lol he was so pissed that he lost!! it was great. yaaaaaa my first win/race. lol im happy i wanna race him agin when hhis car is fully back to 100% and see how much i lose bye lol. yay

lol yea just keep the racing to a min. on the streets. My friend and i were racing the other day and we almost got busted. The cop went around me and pulled him over for going 72 in a 55 and said he was lucky that she wasnt busting us for racing. Not sure why she got him, since i won both races and went faster then that. lol lucky me i guess.

im assuming if u get caught street racin ur license is gone? i barely ever speed or race just to the fact of cops and getting a ticket,etc. only time a really do speed is on empppppty country roads,etc.

lol you are like me. Nice car man, I have a 97 as well.
What his problem could be is he may have some hydraulic lifters that are bad (or if he has solid lifters) they may be out of adjustment

well buddy I actually have no idea. I bought the car with um on!
Each muffler runs you about $90 wherever you go. So you are at about $180 for the mufflers.
Some shops may charge you 1/2 hour to weld them up, others may charge you1 hour. That's about 35-80 bucks for install. So you are at about 250 -300.
If it had been in my possession before I got the exhaust, I'd have gotten a catback and installed it myself for about the same price.
Anyhoo it sounds pretty good, I think they are delta flow 40s. They sound all right. Like as an around town cruiser can't beat the throaty sound, but on WOT it's too quiet. That's why in a month or so I'm getting a better midpipe.
I would reccomend you check ebay!
