Default Drag radials

I am preparing to order my Dr's for the racing season and wonder about sizes. My current stock goodyears are 245/45 ZR 17. I want BFG drag radials, what size should I order?

275/40r17 or whatever it is. You may need to get your speedo recalibrated IF you run them full time, if just for the track then who cares.

Or get a 15" wheel and run whatever, 26x11.5 or something like that.

No. it's still a low profile radial, why would he need his speedo recalibrated [&:]

I'd do 255/40 or 45 (whichever they have)/17 with the radials. I had 275's on my Iroc-z and I ripped the tranny mounts out 3 times from the crazy traction [:@]

well there's a difference between a 245/45 and a 275/40, it's minute though.
255 is going to be a bit farther off. So depending on the stock size, you might need to get the speedo recalibrated.

I dont think he can fit a 11.5 width tire on his car. I talked to the guys at ccw, they said you couldnt go past 11inch width

Tire width has absolutely nothing to do with this, only the sidewall size does. I don't know why you are bringing that into the equation. That's what I was trying to get at.
