Everyone else here is right on que. With the trap speeds your getting, there must be another factor involved. I don't think that slicks are what are killing you. My trap is under 105 and you and I have about the same 60' and reaction time as the list time I went to the track (13.4). Slicks may help, but I don't think that will fully solve your problem. Not to sound insulting, but I think that it may be your driving. Maybe your shifting skills are not as honed in as they could be. Try driving around at casual speeds, but anytime that you change gears, try to practice changing very quickly and then getting back to throttle very quickly. This is not power shifting, but it can help you to get as fast as possible without severly damaging you tranny. THen when you go to the track, speed shifting will be second nature. Also, the slick will definately help. Expect them to reduce your 60' by .2-.3 seconds at least if used and launched properly. Run them around 12 psi and do a nice long burnout. This burnout will raise the pressure to around 13-14 psi and give you a great sticky surface. Dont be scared of heating your tires for several seconds. Work on your launch to get it perfect and your time should definately hit around mid 12's with ease.

I have pulled almost identical times... I ran a 13.0@118 once and i have also ran 13.2@116 and my 60' was like 2.0-2.2ish, that was last year and the track hasnt opened back up, but I blamed my problem on my traction... I had a BALD *** set of Nitto DRs on and they wouldn't hook for ****, I recommend you slap some Drag Radials on there, Mickey Thompson ET Streets I would recommend launching it... You'll get a better 60' and a much much better time... that kind of trap can get you into 11's with a proper set-up

well f00mustang trust me when i say i can shift pretty good... in fact thats why i trap so high...im having lots of problems first two and half of third gear. But yea i shift at around 5700-5800 since my hp starts to drop off very slowly at 5700. Oh f00mustang also the reason me and u have such different trap speeds is also cause im blown and as i can see from ur sig ur not....but hey no offense taken man. Before i was blown i used to launch at about 4500 with the slicks. We'll see what happens coming up sunday with the slicks. Them subframe connectors need to go in now!!! haha thanks guys

13's at 116?? Wow, must be a whole new ballgame with the newer stangs. I'm going 13.5 @ 105 on bald street tires from idle. I am hoping for a 12.8ish @ 110 next trip to the track on BFG Drag Radials.

Your ET may improve with the DR's, but I wouldn't count on a higher trap speed. I know you think I'm crazy, but try it out and let me know what your trap is with the Drag Radials.
