sorry everybody to bring up the same old topic but just to put some closure on this matter ok i have probably the slowest stock gt you can buy its 1999 gt auto convertable and i flat out smoked a srt-4 and last night i demolished a cobalt ss i dont get why people make such a fuss about these cars all i ever heard was these cars are so fats they will blow a gt away well so i was a little a nervous when i pulled up against them maybe second guessing my pony cuz i heard that these srt-4's and ss's are o so fast but i really do see reality... reality it is stock for stock modded against modded the gt wins 9/10 times hands down

3 reasons you beat an srt-4
1. He wasn't racing.
2. He had the driving capacities of a 7 year old.
3. It was an srt design (a neon sxt dressed up like an srt-4...probably the most ricerific thing i've ever seen).

A stock SRT-4 is good for a low to mid 14 second pass....a stock GT is good for the same at around the same mph. It should be a close race. Besides, FWD sucks...and so do SRT-4's.

It has been proven time and time again, with actual timeslips, that a stock SRT-4 is capable of high 13's; a stock '99 auto Mustang GT vert is not. A well-driven 5-speed coupe is capable of high 13's at best. The supercharged Cobalt is just a coupla ticks slower. You got lucky. [/bench racing]

You raced a couple of guys who either weren't racing, sucked at racing, or suck at life in general.
