What #'s does a stock 98-99 Cobra run at the track. Just curious does anyone know. My buddy has a 99 Cobra and for some reason will not tell me.

96-98 are all the same. With gears and a K&N on my 97 I pulled a 14 flat with terrible 60' times. Mid 14's with even worse 60's [:@]

Better tires and a better launch my car could see high 13's. The 4.10's probably caused me to pull the same/worse times then I would have due to traction for my 60' though.

I was under the impression that they were both capable of mid 13's stock...

The 96-98 can get to mid 13's pretty cheap. If you put slicks on mine and were able to launch over 3 grand I wouldnt be suprised to see it hit mid 13's... or snap something in the rear trying to launch to high. The 99 (if its had its fix) SHOULD be mid 13's... but you wont see many go that fast because most people cannot launch an IRS car.

There is no way a 99 Cobra will run mid 13s stock. I know a guy with an 01 cobra with headers, o/r x pipe, and flowmasters, tuned, a 4.10 and intake went 13.6, IRS is a biatch. I am doubting a STOCK 99/01 cobra will break 13s at all, let alone mid 13s. I would say low-mid 14s with an average driver.

99 Cobras can go high 13s if driven properly. Average drivers get low 14s at 100 to 102. I don't know where the 93 trap idea came from.

I'm curios ,about the newer supercharged cobra's I've seen in magazines running 12.7 at 107 and called factory ringers, can they run those numbers stock off of the production line?

Yes they can. Those things were rated at 390hp.. and they were underrated from the factory.

I have heard of the 01's going into the high/mid range (like 13.7)... havent ever seen it with my own eyes.. but yeah... the IRS sucks for launching.

And I know all to well about running that exact time. I ran a 14.7 @92... was.. umm.. interesting to say the least. Was one of my worst runs [:@] (I tapped fuel cutoff.. was shifting way to high.. redline is 6800. cutoff is 7k. lol)
