yesterday night my dad and i were coming home and we stopped at a red light. we were the only ones stopped and we heard a fart can. looked over and it was a wrx. we both had our windows down and my dad asked me if it was fast (he knows nothing about imports) i said hell no a little loud so he'd hear it. he revved up and i revved up our work truck which is a 1993 silverado with a 350 (slow).i let off and heard him getting ready to launch. i put the truck in drive lol the light turned green and his car almost stalled,still we were about even until he shifted to 2nd which took about 4 seconds and i heard grinding. the truck pulled away until he finally got into second. he passed us and gained about 4 lengths until i let off at 85. i was laughing from the beginning because the look on his face was as if he was about to race for his life or something. i don't know how fast they are but i know a lot faster with someone who can change gears. if i was in my caprice and he screwed up half as bad i'd have taken him.

those wrx's are still pretty fast. I know the older ones when they first came out (with big bubble looking headlamps and huge fog lites) would scoot. 14's-15's in the quarter and if I'm not mistaken they were producing 14 psi of boost out of the box with 227 hp. I test drove a few and they all topped out (electronically governed) at 143 mph. He obviously doesn't know how to drive his car.

 

HAHA. thats funny. i bet he was PISSED. oh well...he should learn how to drive. lol
