Default Best Way to take off??

I was wonderin what was the best way to launch an auto from a dig. I heard that most people hold the brakes down to the floor and step on the gas right before the wheels are going to break. But one of my friends said he launches his by putting it on Neutral ( on a flat surface) revves it up and pops it to D. will this work better or will it just make you buy a new tranny faster??

do not, i repeat, DO NOT, do that. neutral drops cause hell on automatics. load it up(apply the brake, and hold the gas until right b4 the tires break). try that, or, just hold the brake, and when youre ready to take off, just, let off the brake and apply gas. hold brake with left foot, have right foot above gas pedal. when ready. let off brake, press accelerator. 2 methods. try which one nets you better times. but, DO NOT, neutral drop. K ?? k.

i dont see the advantage of doing a neutral drop anyway. there is usually a delay before it actually engages

neutral drop = new tranny dont do it

i launch by holding the break down and pulling the e-break so it wont cut the rear tires errr tire loose
