If it was the new body style then yes it was just a normal Corvette. Unles ofcourse the worst driver to ever live was driving a ZO6. But you said it was an auto and as far as I know the paddle shifter wasnt available this first year of the ZO6 yet. It is going to be an 07 model year option. So yeah, that was a normal Vette.

they respond to mods very well, and they are very loud from the factory

my neighbor bought a brand new '05 z06 and i could hear that thing startup from my room and he lived prolly 12 houses up from me

I thought they did make an automatic Z06 of the c5? Yea I heard the same, those years run mid to low 12s.

My buddy has the 03 405hp Z06 he did a 12.49 stock 11.6 on the bottle dont know what size nos shot he had.

 

Nope never an auto ZO6 and there was no ZO6 produced in 2005. Magazine tiems should not be quoted. They is why we have ricers thinking they can run with domestics. Because some dumb magazine guy cant drive for ****. Those mag times are usually about .4-.6 off from what average drivers will do.

A 2001 will run much better than a 13.0, thats LS1 C5 territory. The 385HP Z06 may not be as quick as the 405HP 02-04 Z06 but it's still a 12 second car.
