a kid at my school has a newer g35 and hes about to get full exhaust. Do you think i could take him, i dont know anything about g35's except they cost a lot whats there h/p and t/q and 1/4 mile?

 

theyre pretty much just the luxury version of the 350Z. VQ35DE. new ones are 300hp/260tq, or something like that. theyre nice. but, HEAVY. everything is leather. leather=dead weight. so, with exhaust, he MIGHT get 315hp........i say you got him with no problems unless u mess up the launch or something. go get him. show him American Power.

 

you have an auto though, so that boggles u down a bit. ford autos=teh suckage. however, if hes an auto, i believe they have a good 20 less hp than the manuals, which come at 297 hp. im callin it to be a drivers race.

if he is auto u should win. if he is stick, most likely a very close race if he can drive right. cars is not a slouch

 

The autos are not that bad in those cars, they are 5 spd autos. The new ones are rated at 298 with the manual and 280 with the auto. I know a guy who ran 14.1 with a stock auto G35. My dad has one as well and it feels like a low 14 sec car to me. If it is a manual he may get you by a little bit. If he is auto than it could be anybody's race.

 

u have a mach1... u should be fine... they run 14s u run 13s...

i raced at 350z (basically the same car) and in 2nd i was pulling a little, 3rd i pulled a little more and by 4th i pulled alot harder. quick cars tho. they run like 14.1-14.3 in the ¼, but rumor has it that if the weathers perfect and the cars are running like a champ they can hit 13.9. ive never seen it but people say they do.
