I was driving home from my buddies when this Z28 comes up my side like he wants to race, from a 20mph roll he does 3 beeps and we go we were even and then i started to pull until i had about 2-3 cars on him, then all of a sudden he comes out of nowhere and flys past me! We stop at the next light and i yell over to ask what he has done and he was like "just a catback" but it sounded like he had cams and the exhaust sounded more suped up. Im thinking he probably had nitrous in addition to other mods and thats why he flew past me cause i had him beat. Im thinking With my mods, a Lt1 camaro with just a catback would get smoked, i have smoked them before! Any thoughts?

 

It sounds like he sprayed, unless he was really toying with you or something... but you would have heard it if he wasn't pushing his engine hard and had the exhaust mods like you said.

 

either he was toying with you, or, he sprayed. so, technically, congrats on the win. lol actually, technically, sucks that u lost.....ill give it to you. u drive the 'Stang, not him. haha. i am so gonna get flamed for that....OH WELL.

no he wasnt toying he was pushing it hard he got the jump on me actually and his front end came up, i pulled away from him i could tell when he (allegedly lol) hit the NOS it sounded like he redlined the thing , i bet he sprayed and then he was a di*k like i said and was like "oh just a catback, i guess your just not fast enough"

 

Read my post following this. I am going to paste it on. Congrats on your win dude because there is no way he beat you without "Spray". Now read the following that i posted about a week ago and you will see why i know this. BTW i have a 99 GT. O.K.so my friend and i finally duked it out, while driving to the bowling alley he was following me and once we arrived he admited that he had a hard time keeping up. Then after that we went to this industrial area near my house where we could go at it from a dead stop. He told me to give him a head start so i did although i didnt want to because he shoul be giving me the head start. But he said since he was stock and i had just installed my k&n intake and LM1 catback with X pipe he wanted a head start so i said sure because if he beats me i'd just say thats the reason but to my freakin' surprise i cought him and passed him, it felt so great!!! I knew that after i got the exaust done it was faster but i didnt think it was that fast. Im happy as heck and that made my saturday night.

Btw... He has a 94 z28-stock

 

For one, he only has ONE cam...not cam(s). For two, a slightly modded LT1 is more than enough challenge for any 2V car. I doubt he "sprayed" as everyone said. I've yet to see a 2V N/A car impress me...or a blown one for that much.

 

We expect you to say that though since you're an LS! man...

I've got a blown '00 GT on video, with nitrous, that we met at the dragstrip. Got his car up close and at the track. Hell, I even got shots of the motor/supercharger/nitrous set up. Super clean car. Guy trailored it in with slicks/skinnies. Went 7.7x all night @ 91 mph. My best that same night was a 7.65 with 555r's/50rwhp shot/exhaust. That's why I say I've yet to be impressed by one.
