Default New as well!

Just bought a 00GT with magnaflow exhaust..Im sure thats the only mod thats been done to this horse. Once owned a VERY SLOW 82 TA 5.0. Big diff My question is...WHY ARE ALL THESE IDIOTS AND THERE GRANDMOTHERS TRYING TO RACE ME? CANT A MAN ENJOY A MID_LIFE CRISS WITHOUT EVERY PUNK IN A HONDA TRYING TO CHALLEGE HIM? Anyways..I have about 6 grand burning a hole in my pocket..what would be the quickest and cheapest way to lite a fire under this cars *** ( SPEED). By the way im not some newbie that can't handle a 3500 pound vehicle. I drive a freakin truck for a livin and deal with idiot drivers on a daily basis. CALI FREEWAYS! [:@] Enlighten this old man please..and be gentle.

Get 3.55 gears, long tube headers, throttle body, MAF, x-pipe and keep those Magnaflows!!!

Then buy an SC and get her tuned up and start raping!!

why not get a turbo?
doesnt a supercharger run off a pulley?
and doesnt that belt make it lose a fartload more hp then a turbo could possibly lose?
and i hear theres less maintenance for a turbo because of a lack of a pulley system, just goes off exhaust fumes?

S/C'er gives power throughout the RPM band, typically a turbo will only spool at higher RPM's. Although, I've heard if tuned right, you will experience very little lag.

I say 3.55 - 3.73 gears and a supercharger kit. Procharger and vortec make complete kits that take all the guesswork out of power adding. Those mods will stomp all the ankle biters and still be a reliable daily driver...
