Default First time at track ever

had my car for almost a year and finally went to the track today, best time was a 13.85 @ 101.1 I got a total of 3 passes and each one kept getting better

first one..
60'......2.316
330.....6.220
1/8.....9.407
MPH....77.35
1000...12.100
1/4.....14.348
MPH....100.45

second..
60'......2.196
330.....5.985
1/8.....9.155
MPH....77.98
1000...11.841
1/4.....14.087
MPH....100.49

third
60'......2.127
330.....5.852
1/8.....8.968
MPH....78.77
1000...11.624
1/4.....13.853
MPH....101.10

and heres some of my mods, 351w crate engine, bbk headers, h pipe, dynomax catback, and 3.08 gears [&:] this was on 245 wide street tires and a stock suspension. since this was the first time launching at a track i dont think i gave it all i could in the beginning cause i thought it would spin like on the street. you think after upper and lower control arms i can get low 13s or maybe even 12s?

MTX, right?

your 60' time isnt great, but ive seen worse, and you were improving as you went...and your mph was pretty good..if i were you, i would be happy with that for a first time. nice work. what kind of tires?

You need gear & tire. Then you run 12's. That mph is pretty low for a 351W......
Congratulations on getting out there & having fun! You did have fun, right?

Looks like you may need ome suspension work to get your car to hook. I would also get some 3.50's or 3.73's in the axle. Looking at you trap, low 13's should be easy, but high 12's will be a little harder to come buy, but attainable.

With a crate motor and your mods, you have a great street/strip car in the works, and a car that can easily be used as a daily driver. Props. Get that suspension dialed in right, and you'll have a blast.

yea definately had fun. D&D upper/lower control arms are as good as ordered, unless someone comes on and says something bad about them.

the tires are 245/50/16 hankook ventus, not sure what you mean by MXT but i was at englishtown raceway park in old bridge or eatontown
