You're doing it again here. You are trying to correlate his OPINION (people are entitled to these) or even knowledge on a matter based on what he drives. Example, I could drive a geo, and be the world's foremost expert on Ferrari's (however unlikely) because I drive a Geo, I don't know ****?
Actually, no I'm not correlating his opinion to his technical knowledge... it was more or less a joke. But my jokes usually tend to get people riled up, so my mission was accomplished (ok I wasn't really trying to do that...)

He made an opinion... I over shadowed his opinion with MY opinion, because well, my opinion matters more to me than his does. [8D]

You took it upon yourself to call me a hypocrite, which first made me laugh. Then it made me think. Your response was pretty much pointless as far as a response goes, much like his was, but being the instigator I am... I felt the need to say something. Anyway, I never EVER personally insulted him for having his opinion... I simply stated that he owns a slow V8... think of it as a friendly reminder that I DO know what I'm talking about, and I WILL have fun with you when I want to. lol

He drives quite possibly one of the slowest production Mustangs EVER built (sorry guys, not trying to insult - just making a factual rebuttal).
You do it yet again, and I don't know how it made any kind of a rebuttal, since all you did was reinforce my point.
Whats wrong with a friendly reminder? I'm reminded daily that I have a slow car... like I didn't already know. Just wanted him to realize that calling a car that is faster than his 'overrated' without knowing anything about them (because honestly... not a whole lot of you guys know ANYTHING about anything other than Domestic V8s) is confusing to say the least. I like a debate, and I like my thirst for knowledge and finding the answer to be satisfied.

I know your car wasn't built for speed, that's exactly my point. You know a healthy amount of stuff about cars, so why should I judge your opinion because you drive/drove a honda? (I honestly don't know what you own, but that isn't the point)
Sure, judge my opinion. It honestly doesn't matter to me in the slightest. I know what I know, and I'll open my big mouth when the topic of which I have information stored in my brain comes up.

I don't think he had divulged enough information period for you to have even made any assumption that he knew nothing about them.
This really is irrelevant, but if you know nothing about a car and all you do is hear about how Mustangs will beat up on them... how in the world could they be 'overrated' in your brain? The logical thing to do is just not make comments if you're not ready for someone to throw one back at you. He turned out to be a cool guy and really could give two ****s less in the toilet bowl about what I'd said in the first place.

I don't see the irony in this sentence, forgive me. You knew exactly what I was trying to say, you cannot tell me that you haven't frequented Honda forums, or forums dominated by them or similar imports either now or in the past. Sorry you don't "roll" in them now, but you should get the point.
I occassionally visit two honda boards. You wanna see some real irony? I like it here more... more people debate me on here about stupid pointless bull****. It's realllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllly fun on this board. lol Hondaswap sucks. Too many true dickwads. I really don't associate myself with any honda crowd. I simply own and am enthusiastic about the automobile I drive. If I need some questions answered, yeah I'll wander over there but that's a rarity in itself.

Given all this, I was just defending someone on here, who got personally ripped after stating an opinion in one post; that did not deserve it. All I was doing was sticking up for the guy. So don't get upset that I called you out on this, the forum is supposed to be friendly, and that's what I was trying to protect.
In reality he didn't actually need any defense. He stated his opinion, I called him out on it with my opinion (which was a tad bit more factual) and then I got called out on making a simple, and true, statement.

In case you haven't noticed I said I don't get mad at things like this. It's not easy to really **** me off.

P.S.- Float me one of those beers [8D]
I'll let ya rip up a Bud or Miller light... but you ain't touchin' my Corona. [8D]

a guy back in highschool had one with only an intake and some tires. he said he ran 13.3 in the 1/4, and i believe him based on the fact that he was the type of guy who knew his shlt reallllly well, never showed off and rarely raced anyone, and never smack talked.

i know a guy that had a decked out one. aside from the all-white-leather interior and color-changing paint, it had a good bit of performance work done. he never ran it at the track, but he kept up with my friend's s/c e36 m3 (320rwhp) really well.

VR4's are NOT 13 second cars...they have lots of power but are rediculously heavy and loose LOTS of power through the drivetrain...I'd be more scared of a 300zxtt, Supra , or RX-7 TT

average times are 14 flat to 14.3, stock... meaning this guy here with an 02 GT will need an absolute PERFECT launch to pull any on him.

It's just too ****ing close to call.

Could this also be because of the difficulty in launching them well
