another problem is that so many of these turbo cars are on the dyno under such ideal conditions, they cant actually produce those numbers in a real world situation. however, ive been to a couple import events, and the supras were impressive.

i consider the supra to be the terminator of the import world.

 

The reason you see so many Supras with crazy hp killing mustangs and everything else on Streetfire is cuz only the impressively modded turbo Supras even bother posting videos. But saying that all Supras are super cars just because all the ones you see on Streetfire are killer doesn't make it so. Trust me, most of the Supras you come across on the streets will not be that impressively modded. And like quite a few above have said, NA and lightly modded Supras are far from super cars.

Thats because no supra owner will race a mustang on video unless they have a huge single turbo conversion done

HAHA, I dont know much about supras, but I didn't know quite a few of them were NA. I also here all this mombo about supras being able to handle up to 1000 hp. I'm pretty sure mustangs can also acheive this number, but under what budget.

 

Well no shat you'd take it without it's turbo.....thats like saying you make two of your cylinders stop working so you could both being going on 6 cyl ...without your other two cylinders your car is nothing...either way the turbo is stock..if you take away from what it was built to be...of course it will be slow..just my opinion.

 

Bro, they make NA Supras. Yes, believe it or not, they do. And you know what the difference between an NA Supra and a Twin Turbo Supra? Just the twin turbo setup. The injectors, the head, the cams, the trans, the block, pretty much everything except for the headers and turbos. So saying that it's not fair isn't true. The guy talks all the Smack about how Supras (in general) would walk all over Mustangs and blah blah blah. And he would go on and on about how his car would take me under any circumstance and yada yada yada. So I laid down the challenge that we go NA to NA. I offered to pay for the tune and help him convert it over (he had the NA pieces already, because we both work at a Toyota dealership) and he bitched out. I then just asked him to turn the boost controller most of the way down and just run stock boost and he wouldn't. You have to rememeber at this time that all this happened I was stock except for exhaust (still on stock headers) and front suspension work and subframe connectors. No power mods at all except for the 10 HP at most that I gained from the exhaust.

Now that I have the turbo, he still won't race me. Even with him being all BIG and BAD with his upped boost and so on. He's running scared now because it's now a fair race and he won't do it.

 

Well i gotta say that I raced my friends supra when he had stock twins. he was making around 415 RWHP.. I launched him by like 2.5 car lengths.. that didnt matter. he spanked me.. now he has a T76 on it and just dynoed it at 772RWHP.. Let me tell you what.. It sucks in first and second gear but after that the damn thing is leathal!!!! HOLY **** did that think just throw you in the seat!! after riding in that i hate to say it but i want one!!! ohh yeah stock internals with 93K!!!!! now no matter how you look at it. That is impressive!!!!
