So as i was goin through town yesterday a Z28 pulls behind me, i think it was a 99 or 00 i wasnt really sure but the guy def wasnt stock. For one i could def hear him over my exhaust, and he was lowered and had a giant cowl hood on the front of it. I was like ohh geez great hes gonna wanna race. So as im headin out of town goin to get on the highway he follows me out. Facing the inevitable i get in the right hand lane slow down to about 40 and let him get beside me. We both hit it at the same time and he puts about 4 cars on me until we reach about 100 and stop. The second race was a tad better but not much as he didnt pull away quite as fast as the first race but we had to stop to upcoming traffic. It was fun messin around but damn those things are fast and he def would have killed me if we would have kettin goin faster but oh well it was fun.......Damn you LS1........Damn you [&:]

obviously you were expecting to get stomped, but was it worse, or not as bad as you envisioned?

personally, if i knew there was a LS1 with a cowl hood, i'd expect it to be worse, but then again, 4 cars in just the time from 40-100 is kind of ugly i'm still itching to race one from a dig and quit and declare victory after the first 100 feet

Haha ya it was fun. I knew i was goin to lose so it was all in the name of racing. After the two loses i gave him a thumbs up and he returned the favor and we just cruised down the highway. But eh maybe in the near future ill be able to run with those kinds of cars i just wanted to see how i would stack up and just see how fast they really were

Nice run bro. If the camaro had body color side mirrors and the round front end it was a 00+....black mirrors and round front is a 98-99. The sharper front is a 93-97...I think they all had black mirrors

With the giant cowl you'd think he'd have a lot of work done....but then again a highly modded LS1 would've left you more then 4 cars behind. Did it sound like he was an auto?

although with a CAI, tune, 3.90's, and full exhaust, i think i could have a chance against a manual LS1.

im debating on getting a cowl this summer, and i only have a cam. And some gas.

 

Ya he was def a stick i heard him downshift right before we went...I think the cowl was just for looks too but who knows he was fast
