how fast would a turbocharged 00-02 cavi be? i got a guy that was talking trash to one of friends saying that he could smoke both of cars. i told my friend to tell him to put his money where his mouth is.

but if u don't know i have a 349 w/125 shot if needed (280-300rwhp)
and my friend is a built 306 88 notch (rwhp260-300) w/150 shot
both 5spd
competition for either or are we robbing this kid blind?

 

You are taking about GT stangs right. I know a guy with a turbo'd 99 GT putting 500 to the wheels

 

first off, you should be makin WAAAAAY more than 280-300whp. and if hes stock, with JUST a turbo kit(injectors, fuel pump, etc, etc).....depending on how many psi hes running, and who has better traction, and who is better driver.....him.

 

i am talking about all motor with stock heavily reworked e7's heads. so he actually has a shot? i didn't think he would be making that much power especially to the wheels hmm.... learned something new still can't wait to race them should be fun.

and yes there both gt's that would be racing the cavi

you should definitely have the $$. no problem. the 300whp, with really reworked E7's....very possible. probably be better with aftermarket alum heads, but, still. i think itd be close, if not more.

 

yea i would get some aftermarket ones but the lack of money is it whats stopping me but i will later on but i will post how some races come out here soon i got a lot people who want to race me

You should kill him pretty easy...unless his car is pumping serious psi and a good size shot on a built motor, but odds are he just threw a turbo on.

 

Traction is always a huge problem for any powerful FWD car... Set a distance and speed that you are going to race to... He might pull you up top...
