Default LATE MODEL GT FUN

i was sitting in the mall parking lot minding my own business yesterday when i hear a sweet exhaust. (mustangs sound very nice) there i see a green new gt. i parked way in the corner so i could eat my mc donalds in peace. the guy drives over near my car and revs on me, then he swings the rear about 90 degrees and slowly leaves so i can follow. i oblige and when we get to the street he shows off his acceleration. once we get to the high way he takes off with me behind him until we get clear of cars. (empty freeway)
from 70 he guns it and so do i. he had a nice intake growl too. i pulled three cars on him ever so gradually. decent top end from the gt though. i hoped that he would pull up and wave after but he didnt so i just took off. not bragging, all in good fun. i like 'stangs.

Did you see the WRX vs Mustang article in Hot Rod a couple months ago? They're pretty darn close as far as performance. How easy/expensive is to modify a WRX compared to a Mustang?

cobra=STI
gt=WRX perfomrmance wise.

i spent 700 dollars to get 13.2's last season. i put on a race pipe and a new computer for this season. i ran at 17 psi last year and now i will be going 19-20 psi in search of 12's. my car is fully gutted with carpet to hide the light weight.
less than 3000 lbs with a full tank of gas, just over with me in it. people will get mad but for the same price a wrx will be faster and more reliable. in the end a mustang takes the crown due to the unreplaceable displacement. it all comes down to personal preference. i chose awd over rwd because i live in wahington and love hooliganism in all weather.

I feel for you not because you drive a Subaru (that sucks) but more for the fact you are Navy and you have a life partner. Yes I drive a Pontiac, no it is not slower than your winged thing. Envy the ET, you may someday with a few thousand more dollars reach the 12 second zone. Untill then, look wistfully at 12 sec timeslips in cars that are better than yours when the driver leaves them on the seat where you can see them thru the glass.

in range, yes you can see them, you can still see the bumper of that 12 sec car infront of you at the track, but you still have yet to see one in your mirrors... You would be very very small in the mirrors of my beater Pontiac.
