so.. i had just pulled out of taco bueno, and an eclipse pulled up next to me. when the light hit green, neither one of us really hit it, we just took off fast. then, he starts to hit it, so i hit it. i pull ahead, and it seems like i'm going to win, then he hits the nitrous, and he's gone. what a sad day in mustang history. oh well, my car will be fast someday.. when i have the money for it.

 

Could you tell if it was a turbo? If so, don't feel too bad, it's not THAT uncommon. How do you know that he was spraying?

 

i lost to an eclipse once. he had a T-60-something and a built motor...
it actually was a really close race, but i lost by about a car from 0-100 after jumping 1/2 car on the launch. he then proceeded to race this punk in an sti that weaved up to use, and spanked the living crap out of him from a roll. we laughed about it at the next light...good times.

 

Sounds like a nice setup, you must've had a good one yourself to stay that close.

 

ok, so i know nothing about imports aftermarket, but i remember him having an injen racing sticker on his front passenger side fender. i just looked it up, and realized they make turbos. so.. maybe it was a turbo. he didn't seem to start pulling real hard until 3rd. it makes sense.

 

Hmm 3rd gear? I'd say you were right about the spray, either that or he was spinning all through 1st and 2nd.

I'll let you in on something, the NONTURBO 95-99's are a woman's car, I wouldn't be too quick to talk down on the other models.

 

I don't mean because of the motor, I mean just because of the looks. I think s2000's are girl looking cars, and miatas. It may just be me...
