roflcopter x 100
Stock Mach 1's
a. Are kewl, but do not make that much power. At all. No. and
b. Are fair game for stock LS1's. Stock, sissy-cammed, muffled, castrated-by-gearing late model Firebirds and Camaros.
Good death.

An LSx based engine can be stroked to a 427 but there is no way it will ever be a hemi. Hemi refers to the shape and layout of the combustion chamber, currently there are no hemi heads that are made for a Chevy engine. So either the poster is a retard or the guy who owned the Firebird is a retard, but sombody is retarded. And fwiw a stock Mach1 is a good race for a stock LS1 car.

That may be sig worthy And also from what ive seen the mach is a good race for an LS1 till about the end of 4th. The LS1 then starts to stroll away

1badmach1, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever read. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone on this forum is now dumber for having read it. I award you no respect, and may God have mercy on your soul.

a couple weeks ago my buddy and i were sitting at a light in lynnwood Wa, and a late 90's firebird pulls up ( the kind with that funky lookin hood) and im like dude we have to go for it. and my buddy was like dude im gonna get smoked ( we were sitting in his 03 mach1 and the firebird sounded like a top fuel dragster) so we take off and so does he and we race for about 3 miles at every light and stuff. we lost but only when we hit 4th gear and he started to pull away but we still kept it with him... comes to find out i told a buddy about it and he knows the guy and it turns out the firebird was running a 427 big block hemi w/ high octane race fuel. so it shows a stock 03 mach1 w/ 305rwhp can keep up with that kind of an engine.

mach1 has 375.5hp at the fly and 365 lb. ft. tourqe at the fly. all stock
O boy where to start.

Well this: "we lost but only when we hit 4th gear" makes perfect sense.

However: "firebird was running a 427 big block hemi w/ high octane race fuel. so it shows a stock 03 mach1 w/ 305rwhp can keep up with that kind of an engine."
427 big block hemi??? I dont know much about chevys but i didnt know they have 427 big block hemis. Not to mention that car sounds like its pushing WAYYYYYYYYY more power then the mach.

And finally: "mach1 has 375.5hp at the fly and 365 lb. ft. tourqe at the fly. all stock"

Did you just pull those numbers outta your ***?

This is the kinda post that ends up linked on other forums with titles reading "Look at this dumbass!!!"

Someone wanna help rationalize these two statements being made back to back? If you guys showed what a stock 305rwhp Mach 1 (umm, nope....that's bhp) can do.........how did the car supposed have 375bhp? Is it a 2K Cobra R with a shaker hood and Mach 1 badges??[sm=icon_rofl.gif]
