Launching Tips?
many people would disagree with me but speaking from experience, its best to leave tire pressure in your regular street tires alone. I managed to cut a 2.03 60ft with them fully inflated and when i dropped pressure i was running consistant 2.1-2.2X 60fts......also GO AROUND THE WATER BOX if you get those tires too wet your done for.......also dont do a huge burnout on street tires, just do a little chirp or so to clean them off....when u get up the line get your revs up (i have an automatic so i will tell you what i do) put the break to the floor and push the accelerator until you feel the wheels start to slip at which point hold it until you go.....when the lights start to go down (again what i do but you might want to get the hang of it first) is whn the last yellow light goes off go, dont wait till the green....doing this i have some good .56XXX reaction times.....thats about all i can think of right now, but there are some good stickies at the top of the page if you want to read up on some more of this stuff from the guys who are pros at this stuff
whats has worked best for me on street tires is slip the **** out of the clutch in first and try not to let the tires spin or if they do. just back off a lil till you feel it grip.. like maybe 2k launch and feather the clutch and throttle or just get really sticky tires that works well too.. i just got some BFG drag radials and they are the Sh*t!!!! they seem to work a lot better than my nittos and they not as wide...
