Default Me vs. 98 AWD Eclipse

Last night i raced my friends 1998 AWD Turbo'd Eclipse (12 psi). He also has an exhaust. I have a 2002 GT 5 speed. Stock.
We raced from a 15 mph roll and were dead even untill i hit 4th gear and i started to pull ahead and shut down at about 110. I ended up beating him by about a 1/2 car length.

congrats on the kill. if it had been just a GS-T(fwd, turbo), he might have beaten you actually. BUT, it wasnt, so, congrats

Nice kill, that's exactly how it went with my gs-t when I used to race my friend's 5.0

yeah... and if it's was from a dig... he might've beaten you too - they can launch like nothing... if you know how to launch them... Good kill nevertheless! Those lil f*ckin things can be fast... lol

I still think its funny how you have to slap a turbo on an eclipse just to keep up with a stock GT

Thats how it is with mostly all 4 bangers, if they didnt have the turbo, they couldnt keep up.

Back to the race, nice kill. My friend has a gst with intake, exhaust and an intercooler, and we raced from a roll, from like 45 to 80 and I had him by 2 cars and kept pullin.

I think it's funny how you have to slap a charger on your Mustangs V8 to keep up with an NA LS1.

Now that is just wrong, but true. Thats why I dont complain about losing to any car. I know I cant beat an LSx, or some turbo'd 4 bangers and 6 cylinders. Thats why I hardly ever race in my Stang. I have more fun in my Celica.

True that 01SilverGT, just like I would have to add a couple of goodies on my C6 to run with the New Vipers. The saying goes "There's always somebody bigger and badder than you" .Good thing is I tend to run in to them less often (don't run in to new Vipers that often)
