ok so im on my way to a wedding with my g/f in the car also and then this brand new red srt/10 truck(actualy was a really nice looking truck) slowly pulls up to us at about 40mph and starts jumping forward trying to start a race with me. my g/f starts says "i think he wants you to race him"...duh..so i drop it into second and tell him to go and so he nails it and jumps about a car and a half in front of me and then i hit the gas and instantly im at his front bumper and then throw it into 3rd and put 2 quick cars on him and shut it down. after i hit the brakes he keeps going and flies past me and then slows down and wants to go again,im like ok whatever. so we go 2 more times and the same result everytime only im ahead about 4-5 lengths because i didnt give him the headstart this time. we stop at a light and he gives me the thumbs up and his g/f is in the truck with him laughing at us for some reason and he says he has k&n CAI, tune and exhaust(truck was really loud). anyway, he was actualy a really cool guy and the exact reason i never start races...you never know what the other guy has even if the car looks stock. and i just know that the day i start a race i will get whooped by a sleeper lol. anybody know what these truck run in the 1/4? arent they supposed to have viper engines? i know that they must weigh a pretty good bit, but i was just not impressed at all. i think i coulda gave him a good run when i was stock...[&:]

 

was it the 2-dr or the 4-dr version ?? either way, yes, they have the Viper engine in them, but, like you said, the weight kills 'em. i think theyre a 14-sec truck in all honesty. for a truck, they can get up and move. nice kills though.

 

It's a low 13 second car.

 

first off, its a TRUCK. and 2nd, theyre not THAT fast stock....i dont think.

 

they run mid 13s if i remember right.

 

dayum. i thought they were "only" 14's. cuz my friend, her dad has a shortbed one. shifter, gears, exhaust and i think he only ran a 13.42 or 13.52 i think.

 

500 hp, 500 ft.. lbs tq.

 

point, being, WHAT ?? i hate to use this, cuz i didnt have a problem with the guy personally, but, a 642whp Cobra couldnt break what, 12's ??

 

those mods wont cut .5 sec off a 6k lbs truck .

 

I liked JDan as well, but maybe he said he had a slipping clutch, and some other problem, didn't he?
