Default Softtail HD?

My brother got a softail HD a few months back. He swapped in a 6 spd trans and a built engine. It made 100 RWHP on a motorcycle dyno of some sort.

Anybody know how fast this thing should run? He is saying there is not even a point to racing, he is gonna beat me so bad. On the other hand, he is saying a V-rod would be a decent race but he thinks he can take one.

Any ideas? I think it is supposed to wiegh between 800 and 1000 pounds with him on it, maybe up to 1200 pounds.

I am making about 420 ~ WHP on a dynojet for reference.

I used to outrun HD's in my Maxima....my step dads made 88whp...or 98, I forget, and when my car just had 3.73's/exhaust/stall was more than enough to embarass his bike. Go race him, he's an idiot.

I think i have to give it a try.

They all said that I had no hope against dad's 69 Mach 1 too, until I brought the car up the first weekend after the supercharger. Everyone said it was "just another level of horsepower" compared to my car [:-]

The mach didn't come out of the garage after the first test drive in the GT

My dad in particular was very impressed, he never thought I could get this level of performance out of it.

100 hp in a HD soulfd be good for somplace in the 12's I would think, I know I whip up on HD and Choppers all the time in my SS and you actually have more rwhp than I do so it should be a win for you.

it all depends on how he can drive it. and be careful when racing bikes, i have been almost taken out a few times when i thought the road was clear by the person i was racing,
