Default s2000 death

YES! had some fun on my way to work that's actually worth posting ...i was working later than usual tonight (just got in) so the highway was completely deserted. from pretty much out of nowhere i see bright blue halo lights come up and start tailing me. i switched lanes to let him come up next to me, it was a bright yellow s2000, so i gave the guy a rev, he must've tought i was flooring it cuz that's exactly what he did ...i was going about 60 and by the time i reacted my front bumper was about to his rear wheel, i jammed it in 3rd and put the throttle to the floor. i caught up a little and we stayed exactly side by side for a couple seconds then i put it in fourth and started gaining a little...we continued going at it until about 125-130 at wich point i had about a car on him and he shut off. i slowed down and waited for him to get next to me and gave him the 3 honks (we were going about 70)... this time we both floored it at the same time, i started pulling again (maybe half a car) and for some reason he let off a couple seconds into it, i waited for him again to get another shot but he wouldn't go[8D] i gave him a thumbs up, he was a good sport and did the same, except he had a bitter look on his face [sm=smiley36.gif] ...still pretty darn good for a little N/A 4cyl, all in all it was a fun little run. anyone know if these are faster from a stop then a roll? ...i'm wondering what the outcome would've been like if we went from a light.

Nice kill. I think they would be faster from a dig. They got more power than you do stock and that 6spd helps them out alot. An s2k wouldnt be to bad to mod the hell out of N/A style and have a quick car.

you think ? ...i thought i would've had a bigger advantage from a dig and be way ahead while he would've been looking under the floormats wondering where the torque is

they have lots of hp (for a 4 cyl), and no torque...a friend of mine back home has one, and from a dig, my piggish DD will keep up until hes into the higher RPM range...once it reaches its ridiculously high peak power range (237hp @ 7800rpm)...

HC, you should have a huge advantage from a dig...

the s2000 is a good car, but not for what it costs..and in my experiences, the people who drive them are either old people who can afford to not buy a miata, or they are poser tuner cars...

you know what they say..."s2000 with vtec; all of the lag of a turbo car, with none of the power".

i am not against the honda community by any means, and i have met plenty of good honda owners...but the s2000 is looked up to by many of them as being this god-like vehicle...which it is far from...

that quote actually came from someone i know who has a built evo..

i don't have anything against hondas either... i think everone should have one as a winter beater[sm=smiley36.gif] just kidding! the guy was actually pretty cool... gave me a thumbs up for the run wich is good enough for me, i would've done the same if he would've whooped me... he looked like he was about 35 and wasn't a douche, didn't strike me as the kind of guy that would be driving an s2000.

well, my buddy back home has a handful of quick cars...nothing blinding fast, but several low 14/high 13 second cars..he has a cavablt SS/SC, an s2000, a new cbr, and a 76 vette...one night coming back from hockey, he pulled next to me in my slow *** DD...and i launched hard, and stayed right with him until he got towards the top of 1st gear, and that was that...

however, in your fox, i think that you could take one from a dig...

Yeah, you should definitely take him out the hole. Maybe if he's got sticky tires and dumps it at 9 grand...
