Hey everyone Im pretty new to stangs, so here goes. Ive had my Stang for about 3 months now and I have a friend who wants to race me. He has a 04 WRX sti stock and says I will be no problem. He thinks my gt is totally stock but there has been a few upgrades to it.

Steeda Trix ax
Steeda Underdrive pulleys
Mac Intake
Mac Long tube headers
Mac catback
Mac offroad H-pipe
3.73 Gears
FRPP caster/camber plates
sub frame connectors

Anyone think I have a chance in beating him or not. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

 

if he is stock it should be a good race from a roll. he will mess you up from a dig. ive ran a bunch of these cars and they seem to be about a car faster than me from a roll. i dont have near as many bolt ons as you.

 

I thought so, I also failed to mention some sticky Toyo Proxes Meats.

 

u might have a decent chance if hes stock. i think their mid 13's

 

If he's really bone stock and you drive well, you should be able to take him. If he has some bolt ons too though, it could get ugly. Just make sure you get traction, because you know he's going to have no problem getting it

"IF" you get an excellent launch I think you stand a good chance of taking him. Don't let him sucker you into a roll. Those STi's are nasty from a roll

 

Im pretty sure he want to do the quarter mile.

 

ive found them kind of slow from a roll.
